Panopoulos IoannisVeterinary DVM, PhD, Dip. ECVDI, EBVS Specialist
Ioannis graduated from university of Thessaly in 2007. For one year he worked in veterinary practice in Athens. In 2010 he completed a 2-year fellowship program in Veterinary Diagnostic imaging department of the university of Bologna, Italy. In these years he trained in digital radiology, ultrasonography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance and fluoroscopy.In 2010 enrolled in a PhD program at the department of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bologna university, supervised by Prof. Mario Cipone and Prof. Alessia Diana.In 2011 Ioannis visited the department of Veterinary Diagnostic imaging of the university of Montreal, Canada supervised by Prof. Marc-Andre d’Anjou.In 2013 he successfully concluded his PhD program with thesis in Anatomic study of the feline bronchial and vascular structures with a 64 detector-row computed tomography. Since 2011 he has been working as radiologist at the Alphavet veterinary clinic in Athens.
In 2016 he enrolled in a residency program of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI) at the veterinary clinic Istituto Veterinario di Novara, Italy supervised by Dr. Edoardo Auriemma and Silvia Rabba.
In 2019 he successfully passed the theoretical part of the ECVDI examination and he is eligible for the practical and final examination of the ECVDI in 2020.
In 2020 he achieved the diploma of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (DipECVDI) and is recognized as European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging from the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation.
In 2020 Ioannis is the chief of the Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Center ALPHAVET in Greece and works as radiologist in the Antech Imaging Services (AIS).
He is speaker of many national and international continuing education courses and congresses.

Roumelioti SofiaVeterinary DVM
Sofia graduated in 2018 from the veterinary department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During her professional experience at Vets4Life clinic she developed a particular interest for diagnostic imaging. She became admitted in Alphavet’s internship in diagnostic imaging in 2020 and finished it in 2022. The same year she obtained ISVPS General Practictioner Cerificate in Ultrasound GPCert (US) .
Panagiotis BourdekasVeterinary DVM
Panagiotis graduated from the Veterinary School of the University of Thessaly in 2015. Then, he trained at the University Hospital of the Veterinary School of Perugia in Italy and at the Pathology Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From 2018 he worked for 4 years in a veterinary clinic in Thessaloniki, undertaking first and second opinion pathological cases, imaging examinations and endoscopies, after his relevant training in endoscopy of the gastrointestinal system, in Copenhagen in 2019. Then, he decided to further train in diagnostic imaging, attending a continuing education program of Improve International, with the main subject of ultrasound imaging of companion animals. From 2022, he collaborates with Alphavet following internship program in diagnostic imaging.
